Kent Sperry
Pastor

Pastor Kent began serving Prince of Peace in April of 2015. He grew up in Davenport, Iowa and earned a B.A. in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995. He then prepared for ministry at American Lutheran Theological Seminary, which was then located in St. Paul, MN, graduating in 1998. He has since served congregations in California, Illinois, and North Dakota. He and his wife, Cheryl, have six children. His purpose is to faithfully teach the Word of God that others might be brought to faith, grow in their faith, and be equipped to serve the Lord.

Joe Larson
Intern Pastor

Joe Larson is serving as Pastoral Intern at Prince of Peace for 2022 and 2023. Joe grew up as a pastor’s kid (son of Richard and Deanna Larson) in Abercrombie, ND; Fairbury, NE; and Ortonville, MN. Joe graduated from AFLBS in 2016 where he also met his wife, Sarah, daughter of Pastor Karl and Debbie Anderson of McIntosh, MN. Joe then served in ministry as a youth director outside of Chicago and then as an AFLBS dorm assistant while completing his Bachelors of Religion from Liberty University. Joe and Sarah were married in the summer of 2019 right before Joe began his seminary training in Plymouth, MN. Having completed his seminary classes, Joe is excited to apply what he has learned and grow this year at Prince of Peace as he teaches (and is taught) the Word of God alongside this wonderful congregation.

Cody Halverson
Youth Director

Started serving Prince of Peace in Aug. 2022. Cody grew up in Valley CIty ND. Attended AFLBS in Plymouth MN. He got married in fall of 2020, he and his wife, Sierra, have a couple of dogs. Looking forward to serving the youth of the church and the community. I enjoy hunting, fishing and ultimate frisbee.

Darcee Wenning
Church Secretary

Darcee began working at Prince of Peace as the part time secretary in January 2010. Darcee and her husband Jim have lived in Beulah since 1997 and raised their family here.
